Hidden Bar Berlin

Located 3 mins walk from the China Town, Berlin is a speakeasy bar, fits about 100 people at one time. It’s a hidden bar but it is not that hard to find if you use Waze. If you’re planning to have a chill night out with few friends in not so crowded place with less commercial music, you may want to consider coming here – by Uber/Grab/Taxi. Parking here is free because you park by the roadside, but I wouldn’t recommend it if you are travel alone because I saw few homeless people, they were probably harmless but you wouldn’t want to take chances, especially when you travel alone, and it was pretty dark with just few street lights. I arrived at 9.30pm for Berlin Room event and I was fortunate to park in front of 7-Eleven (which is 2 doors from Berlin). There was no Berlin signage, but you would see a red light outside and someone waiting outside the door, beside Agosto guesthouse.

As I enter, local DJ Afaro was playing an underground hip hop music that sound similar to Tom Misch, FKJ kind of music, chill RnB. Try this link for a sample of Tom Misch and FKJ’s music: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X4Q7d0CtYyk

Good news for non-smokers, the bar has a separate place for smokers (thank God). I don’t really fancy smoking, at least not in a closed-up place. What differentiate this bar than any other in KL is the red lightings, graffiti walls and Berlin themed cocktails - it took me sometimes to get used to the fact that everything I see was red, which does remind me of Red Room club in Trec KL, kind of similar I guess.
There was a free flow of Belvedere vodka from 9.30pm to 10.30pm, so you could expect a lot of people wanting to get as many free drinks and the bartenders did excellent job trying to maintain the quality of the drinks while preparing 20-30 glasses in 10 minutes.
I’d recommend this place if you prefer a more casual, chill and not so crowded place to go for a drink with small group of friends and chat without shouting to one another.
